Composition

• Active substance: levofloxacin
• 100 ml. of solution contains levofloxacin hemihydrate equivalent to 500 mg. of levofloxacin
• Excipients: sodium chloride, diluted hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide, water for injection

Clinical Characteristics

Indication

Infections of mild or moderate severity in adults caused by microorganisms sensitive to levofloxacin:

• Acute sinusitis
• Exacerbation of chronic bronchitis
• Community-acquired pneumonia
• Complicated and uncomplicated urinary tract infections (including pyelonephritis)

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to levofloxacin, other quinolones or to any component of the drug
• Epilepsy
• Side effects from tendons after previous use of quinolones

Method of Application and Dosage

• Abiflox should be taken 1 or 2 times a day
• The dose depends on the type and severity of the infection
• The duration of treatment depends on the course of the disease
• It is recommended to continue treatment for at least 48-72 hours after normalization of body temperature or confirmed microbiological eradication of pathogens
• The tablets should be swallowed whole, with plenty of fluids
• They can be taken with food or at other times
