Description

Abrol (Ambroxol) Syrup 30 mg/5 ml, 100 ml.

Composition

• Each 5 ml. of syrup contains 30 mg. of ambroxol hydrochloride.
• Other ingredients: sucrose, glycerin, strawberry flavor, citric acid, and purified water.

Indications

Abrol syrup is indicated for the treatment of:

• Acute and chronic bronchitis
• Tracheobronchial diseases associated with increased or viscous mucus production
• Supportive therapy in respiratory diseases with impaired mucus clearance

Dosage and Administration

The recommended dose for adults and children over 12 years is 15 ml. (3 teaspoons) of syrup per day, divided into 2-3 doses.

The syrup should be taken with a full glass of water.

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to ambroxol or any of the excipients

Precautions and Warnings

Caution is advised in patients with renal or hepatic impairment.

Adverse Reactions

The most common adverse reactions include nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.

Storage

Store at 15-25°C, in the original package to protect from light and moisture.
