Accupro (Quinapril) Coated Tablets 10 mg, 30 Tablets

Composition

  • Each coated tablet contains 10 mg. of quinapril.
  • Other ingredients: lactose monohydrate, magnesium carbonate, crospovidone, magnesium stearate, and hypromellose.

Indications

Accupro tablets are indicated for the treatment of:

  • Hypertension (high blood pressure)
  • Heart failure

Dosage and Administration

The recommended initial dose for adults is 10-20 mg. once daily, titrated to a maximum of 80 mg. daily as needed.

The tablets should be taken orally, with or without food.

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to quinapril or any of the excipients
  • History of angioedema related to previous treatment with an ACE inhibitor
  • Pregnancy, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant

Precautions and Warnings

Caution is advised in patients with renal impairment, hypovolemia, or sodium depletion.

Adverse Reactions

The most common adverse reactions include dizziness, headache, cough, and fatigue.

Store at 15-25°C, in the original package to protect from light and moisture.
